Chilkats at Eagle Beach

Pic of the week 12/27/00

'I found this beautiful spot out near Eagle Beach in Juneau.  It was a clear, calm, fall morning.  The mountains in the background are the Chilkat Range.  These mountains have snow on them all year round.  Since this photo was taken at the end of summer most of the snow has melted.  But soon they will be totally covered with fresh snow for the winter months.'
