Clarabella Rose

Clarabella Rose

Pic of week 10/16/02

"I am proud to announce the birth of my new daughter Clarabella Rose.  She was born on Tuesday October 15, 2002 at 1:22am.  She weighed in at 7 pounds 2.5 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long.  This photo was made a few hours after she was born at the hospital.  Within a minute or two after she was born, her eyes were open wide and bright looking around at this place we call Earth.

Everything went very well with the delivery and my wife Stephanie did am incredible job.  We walked through the doors of the hospital at about 10pm and only 3 hours and twenty minutes later we had a girl.  Seventeen hours after that we were on our way back home.  Talk about incredible!

It's nice and different to have a baby around the house again.  Our other daughter is 5 1/2 and is also exited to have a baby around.  Abby told her kindergarten class that she was going to bring Clara in for a kind of 'show and tell' and wanted to do it the very next day we came home.  Mom took a rain check on that order as she need to recoup for a few days.

We are blessed to have such a beautiful baby."
