Harbor Seals at Tracy Arm Fjord

Pic of the week 1/10/01

'I took this picture during a trip to Tracy Arm Fjord this past September.  There were hundreds of harbor seals on ice burgs everywhere I looked.   When we first entered the Fjord I couldn't make out what they really were.  To me it looked like a bunch of sausage links on ice.  As we got closer it was apparent that they weren't Jimmy Deans'.  This particular group of seals were at the foot of the south Sawyer Glacier.  Cute little guys aren't they?'
