'I do . . .'

"This is a portrait of a self portrait being taken on my wedding day on July 28th in Juneau at Eagle Beach. I finally said, 'I do', to my wife Stephanie after a long, but wonderful courtship. Our wedding was not a normal cookie cutter wedding, but a different, fun and unique one. We wanted it to be outside and in a casual atmosphere. We came up with a wedding on the beach with a Hawaiian twist. We gave all the guests lays, and during the ceremony before we exchanged wedding rings we exchanged a different kind of ring, Hula-hoops. At the end of the ceremony as we came down the isle we had a limbo stick that we went under with the rest of the guests following us out. It was fun.

My brother Mike, who lives in Erie PA. and is a hobbyist photographer, came up to photograph my wedding. He caught a picture of me and Stephanie as I was about to take a self portrait. (I just felt weird being at a wedding and not taking any pictures.) The wedding was terrific and the pictures came out great!
